Hoi an – street food

Hoi an is an atmospheric ancient town, amazing to see difference between night and day. At night the city center is lit up by hundreds of lanterns. It offers varieties of food from street food to cute restaurants. Away from its ancient looks, these hang out places are quite modern in concept. Their concept often touches topics on community building, helping people in need, and ecological clothing.

On the street food, you will find most of them at night by the river. They serve various grilled meat dishes with fresh veggies on the side. Yes Vietnamese loves their fresh veggies. As an Indonesian I find this fascinating since Indonesia has a similar climate yet you will find most veggies cooked. They say it will be better preserved.

If you like fresh young coconut drink, you should order them to balance the hot and humid night and rich spicy food.
